Guest Room Reveal

I am so excited to reveal our guest room! It’s a very cozy space in the basement. It doesn’t have any windows so it’s kinda like a little guest cave. Definitely could get some good, dark shut eye in there!

We had this space sitting unfinished for quite some time. We carried on the design style the basement has. My husband made a mistake on the width of the shiplap, but other than that it’s all the same. We bought real wood for the shiplap walls. In here it is 12″ which I like the bold statement the bigger pieces make.

The rest of our basement has 8″ shiplap. The room is painted Alabaster Sherwin Williams, along with the trim. The colors look slightly different because of the way it is absorbed into the wood. With no windows I knew it needed to be a light color.

I was so excited when JCPenney asked me to team up and talk about their awesome bedding. I got this boho, textured comforter set for a great price! It is the perfect piece to tie together the formal bed with the more rustic elements of the room.

You can purchase this comfort set here.

The little Pom poms on the whole thing and the material are both so pretty. JCPenney is an awesome spot to look for bedding for a guest room or to spruce your own bedroom! I may have to borrow this for my room too.

The furniture in this room came from a local furniture store years ago. I made the tile artwork on the wall with a holiday sign and some removable decals. I shared this process on my Instagram stories so check it out there in the highlights.

The flooring is Hampstead Rotterdam Laminate that we purchased at Floor and Decor. It is also continued on and is in our entire basement.

The reply room came together once it had some walls and some real floors. 😉 Now people won’t be scared of our spooky guest room!
