It’s hard to believe how far our trailer on the lake has come. We started with a standard double wide, and transformed it into an open concept home.
We gutted the inside and added an addition for the kitchen and dining area essentially make it a “triple wide”. We have it on a foundation so it is stationary. We continue to make improvements and adjustments as our family grows. For example, a bunk room is coming now that we have so many kids here regularly.
The exterior was being eaten by landscaping, and desperately needed some dimension on the front. We added a large front porch spanning the entire home.
It stayed like this until very recently when we finally painted it all. It looks so much better painted! This is our currrent view below.

The kitchen was a fun area to remodel.
The kitchen got a major facelift. The white cabinets and blue subway tile backsplash makes it feel more coastal and fresh. We bought all the cabinets from Cabinets, Inc.
We recently added a wall and barn doorto the back area of the house and made an additional bedroom space. It was dead space as we already have two areas for sitting. The one shown in this before and after and another as you come in the front door shown below.
This view below shows the entire addition we made. Kitchen and dining area under construction.
Our kitchen overlooks the dining area and flows with the bar on the island. We can fit more people to eat all together because of this set up.

The bathrooms needed some major love. We gutted them and started fresh. Wood tile flooring (I don’t know the name, sorry!), white subway and river rock base in the shower, a new vanity, and striping the wallpaper adding Sea Salt painted walls like the main area.
Our master bath still needs some work so I’ll save that space to share until I finish completely.
Our master bedroom just got a fresh coat of paint and some updated furniture.
We absolutely love this space. It is definitely our second home, and we are making some lifelong memories here. This transformation shows you don’t need a ton of space to get great results on a renovation.
