French Toast Bites- VALENTINE’S DAY BREAKFAST IDEA

Did you know Valentine’s Day dates all the way back to the late 5th century? While it started as more of a religious celebration, over time it became the “day of love” as we know it today. Chocolates, roses, forget-me-nots, and now FRENCH TOAST BITES! A modern take on a classic staple, these are make-ahead, eat on the go, delicious way to start your love day.

This French toast bites recipe would be great if you’re looking to make a new tradition this year. Fill with fruit, jam, whipped cream, yogurt, even caviar.. possibilities are endless! These would also make a perfect caviar boat for a fancier Valentine.

Do you add vanilla to your french toast batter? Cinnamon? What other unique flavor am I missing? I have never tried almond french toast, but just typing this makes me want to explore.

French Toast Bites

Classic French Toast in a fun, make- ahead, eat on the go form.

Ingredients

  • 1 Loaf Brioche Bread
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Confectioners Sugar
  • Fruit
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Roll bread flat using rolling pin

  2. Cut desired shape, I used a flower cookie cutter to create shape

  3. Combine milk, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl

  4. Spray mini muffin pan

  5. Drudge pieces of bread through milk mixture and place in mini muffin pan. Push the centers down

  6. Bake for 10-15 at 325F

  7. Allow to cool, top with fruit, confectioners sugar, whipped cream, syrup, or whatever you like on french toast!

  8. ENJOY!!

My kids loved this! Treated them like sushi, full bites at once! Hope you all enjoy your love day!
