Halloween Treats

It was so fun to make these spooky treats with my kids. They were so easy and quick and make an adorable table addition. I got the idea for these treats from Pinterest. Here is the article which has some helpful hints if you plan to use a Skelton for the display.

I had baking sheets with wax paper ready for each treat to harden and set on before serving. Makes cleaning up a breeze too!

Bat Candy

Ingredients

Reese’s

Oreos

Icing

Eye Sprinkles

Directions

  1. Unwrap Reece’s
  2. Cut Oreos in half with a large knife, some will break.
  3. Add small drop of icing to top of Reece’s in center
  4. Separate Oreo into a one layer cookie and arrange in wing shape on icing
  5. Use more icing to add eye sprinkles
  6. Let icing set, and serve!

Monster Rice Treats

Ingredients

Make or buy Rice Krispy treats

Candy melts

Food coloring

Sprinkles

Eye sprinkles

Directions

  1. Heat candy melts according to directions
  2. Add food coloring
  3. Dip one side of rice treat
  4. Place on wax paper
  5. Add sprinkles to one corner and eyes
  6. Let harden and serve

Ghost Cookies

Ingredients

Nutter Butter Cookies

White Chocolate Candy Melts

Black Icing

Directions

Directions

  1. Heat candy melts according to instructions
    Dip Nutter Butter into candy melt coating one side evenly
    Allow it to set for a minute or two then take the black icing and draw three lines for the eyes and mouth
    Let that set and serve!

Pretzel rods

White chocolate candy melts

Food coloring

Sprinkles

Almond slices

Directions

  1. Heat candy melts according to directions
  2. Add food coloring
  3. Dip pretzels into candy melt coating evenly
  4. Set on baking sheet to dry
  5. Add almond slice for fingernail and sprinkles before it sets
